About Unpuzzle

At Unpuzzle, I believe that learning should be interactive, meaningful, and fun. I develop educational jigsaw puzzles that spark curiosity, creativity, and conversation, turning important topics into engaging experiences for all ages.

Hi, I'm Zuma Jalilova, founder of UNPUZZLE. 

My journey began in 2012 as an early childhood instructor at Gymboree Play & Music and evolved into a career as a senior lecturer at Baku State University. Most recently, I was honoured to be selected for the Schwarzman Scholars program, where I deepened my focus on business sustainability and climate diplomacy. That experience gave me the tools to turn vision into action and today, I work as a Sustainability Specialist, helping drive ESG efforts within the private sector. 

Along the way, I spent eight years working across education and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) - and consistently saw how traditional  learning models often fail to connect with people on the issues that matter most. 

That’s why I created UNPUZZLE: to spark curiosity, start conversations, and make learning about equity and sustainability both interactive and joyful.

Now, as a new mum, I feel even more strongly about creating educational tools that are playful, meaningful, and inclusive! Because the next generation deserves to grow up with knowledge that empowers them and values that unite us. 

I believe in lifelong learning, and one of the most effective tools we have especially with children - is play.

Why I Started

As a passionate educator and social impact advocate who has spent years working at the intersection of sustainability, gender equality, and global development, I witnessed how dry or inaccessible many educational tools can be and I set out to create something different - a tactile, playful way to learn about the world that actually sticks and is fun!

That’s how Unpuzzle was born: a creative and mindful game where education meets storytelling, one piece at a time. Unpuzzle explores themes that matter - from climate change and biodiversity to women’s rights and cultural heritage.
